We provide services to parents and kids at every stage of separation, divorce, and coparenting. We provide clinical counselling services to parents (separately or together) and children over the age of 8, regardless of where you’re at in the process.
Coparenting counselling is practical and solution focused, and is available in person in Miramichi, New Brunswick, or virtually throughout New Brunswick. We work with one or both parents, depending on the situation. At times we may work with both parents jointly or separately, depending on the level of conflict. Even if your coparent has no intention of participating, one parent can make huge changes by developing the tools and confidence to manage the conflict.
A primary focus of our work is our commitment to reducing conflict, not contributing to it. This may sound rather obvious, but as many families and professionals know, well intentioned people and professionals frequently and inadvertently contribute to the conflict.
We can help with things like:
- Pre-separation and divorce planning
- High conflict coparenting strategies and interventions
- Divorce coaching/family court coaching and planning
- Parent education and parenting time support
- Communication tools and email monitoring supports
- Blended family therapy

Children who resist contact with one parent after separation or when parents have never resided together do so for many reasons. These situations are complex and often have multiple factors contributing to the parent-child difficulties. Jenna Hill has extensive training and experience in providing consultation, assessments, and reintegration therapeutic services for families in which children resist-refuse contact with a parent post-separation.
Reunification/Reintegration Therapy utilizes a family systems model, working comprehensively with all family members to assist in building healthier alignments and repairing strained parent-child relationships when these dynamics are present. Our approach is evidence based, family focused and has the primary goal of re-establishing appropriate, healthy child-parent relationships.

Family therapy is a form of counseling that aims to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen the overall functioning of the family unit. It is beneficial for families experiencing transitions, challenges, or conflicts, helping them navigate changes and improve their relationships.
We work with families at different life stages, and specialize in working with separating parents and blended families. Family therapy is particularly beneficial if parents are struggle to manage kids’ “behaviours” or other challenging things kids throw at us. It’s particularly helpful when parents have different views and values about how to raise children, or they cannot agree on how to deal with issues.

You’re probably wondering what you’re doing here looking for counselling. Because therapy isn’t for you. It’s just a bunch of talk about feelings and how is that going to help? We know that men have unique needs, perspectives, and asking for help (or even acknowledging they need help) is pretty much the opposite of everything you’ve been taught. Suck it up, move on. It’s fine, you’re fine, everything’s just fine. Right?
If you don’t know where to start, or your partner told you to go counselling “or else” and you don’t know why, that’s okay. You’re in the right place. We’re going to ask about what’s working and what isn’t, and we’ll figure out together what you want to change, your goals, and how you know when you’re meeting them. Counselling, collaborating, coaching. Whatever you want to call it, we’re here to help.
We know this is weird and you’re kind of suspicious of how talking about stuff can help. That’s why we approach our work with men differently. We’re straight talking and solution focused. We aren’t going to ask you questions like, “How does that make you feel?” Unless you really want us to. We collaborate, counsel, and coach. Working with you to figure out what’s getting in the way or not working in your life. We’ll help you identify the feelings that impact your thinking and behaviour, and coach you to learn new ways to understand and deal with it. Now and in the future.

Or, as we sometimes call it, “Neurospicy.”
We provide informed and evidence based counselling, support, and intervention services for children, adults, and parents that respect the unique neurodiversity of the individual and family. Under no circumstances do we provide ABA therapy for Autism or other Spectrum Disorders as we firmly believe these interventions to be harmful to children.
Please note that we do not provide formal assessments or diagnosis. Our work is focused on understanding and addressing needs and helping the individual in their environment. A formal diagnosis isn’t required to access services. We recognize that the diagnostic system is flawed and not everyone meets the “criteria.” If you or someone you care about is struggling to manage a neurodiverse brain in a neurotypical world, we can help.
Newly diagnosed, questioning, children, parents, adults, or if you’re in a relationship with a neurospicy person, our goal is to help you learn new skills to thrive and adapt to the neurodiversity in your family or yourself. We focus on affirming and recognizing the differences and strengths that different brains have. We work on understanding the differences, needs, processing, and strengths of the neurodiverse person, and helping you make changes to your expectations and environment that will help your and your family succeed.

Love isn’t all you need sometimes. Relationships can be hard sometimes, regardless of where you’re at or how long you’ve been together. We provide premarital counselling as well as counselling for couples at every stage of life.
We work with couples to figure out things like:
- Communication issues – it’s not as simple as it sounds and we bet you’ve figured that out. Learn to discuss even the hardest things without going in circles while staying connected.
- Affairs & Infidelity– getting to the bottom of things, rebuilding trust, healing pain, and moving forward.
- Sex and intimacy– normalizing talking through the things that are hard to talk about and getting everyone’s needs met.
- Premarital counseling– not just for the engaged, but any couple who are looking to commit and want the tools they need to succeed
- Individual psychotherapy– if you’re looking for a partner, or wondering why you’re relationships end up the same way, this is a good place to start.
- Parenting issues– often times couples have no idea that they were this far apart on how to raise kids.
- Healthy separation & divorce- should you stay or should you go. If you decide to separate, counselling to move from partners to coparents can save you grief, financial strain (court is expensive), and help your kiddos do better.
- LGBTQ– all relationships matter. We are allies of the LGBTQ community, of your relationship, and your happiness. This is a safe space.
- Open relationships– if you’re considering a non-monogamy relationship or are part of one, understanding the whys, hows, boundaries and impact on your relationship are important for all of you.
- Neurodiversity– if one or both of you is neurodiverse, we can help address the unique challenges of neurodiverse relationships. We help with communication, sensory issues, emotional regulation, social interactions, addressing relationship expectations, and providing education and resources.
