Hiring Social Workers, Psychotherapists, and Clinicians
We are seeking Registered Social Workers to work with individuals, families, and children in person in Miramichi, and virtually throughout New Brunswick. Other disciplines may be considered with relevant experience.
We provide general counselling services to individuals, as well as specific counselling and supports to children with a variety of presenting issues. We also provide support and interventions to children (and their parents) or adults with Neurodiversity. We also work with men, particularly those struggling with anger and/or relationship issues.
Grey Rock Services also provides coparenting services including counselling and supports to parents, either together or separately, as well as services to children of separating or divorced parents. We work with court involved families as well as high conflict coparents. Training and ongoing support for candidates interested in coparenting work is provided.
Clinicians are hired as Independent Contractors. There are no guarantee of hours, however, a commitment to scheduling shifts on the same days and hours generally results in more client referrals and retention. In general, most requests for services are for evening and weekend hours.
Duties
- Conduct a thorough intake assessment with adult clients, parents and children (coparenting clients will be assessed by the director to ensure goodness of fit for therapists and clients)
- Provide counselling and evidence based interventions to individuals, children, and families
- For those interested in coparenting work, provide evidence based counselling, parent education, and interventions to parents and to children (training and supervision provided)
- Maintain accurate and timely (within 24 hours of session) case notes in our EHR system (notes can be handwritten and scanned if preferred)

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field. Other disciplines may be considered with relevant experience
- A minimum of three years in practice, preferably with direct services to children, adults, and families
- Must be registered and in good standing with your governing body
- Preference for candidates not already in private practice elsewhere. (Those with daytime employment in an organization are welcome.)
- A Vulnerable Police Sector check is required (or has been completed within the last 60 days)
- Clinicians must provide their own liability/malpractice insurance
- Experience or interest working with children experiencing divorce or high conflict separation (training and supervision provided) a plus
- Anger management training/experience for those interested in providing services to men
- Ability to complete case notes within 24 hours of sessions
- Familiarity with neurodiversity and coparenting, or child welfare experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work both collaboratively (coparenting families) and independently as you will likely be alone in the office
Pay/Compensation
Pay: $60.00-$90.00 per hour depending upon experience and client work.
Expected hours: 2 – 20 per week
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), Master’s Degree Preferred
Licence/Certification: NBASW or other counselling or psychotherapist certification
